What To Wear – The Roka Ceremony

Roka, sangeet, mehndi, cocktail, wedding, reception…welcome to the circus called an Indian wedding! Oh and the stress of what to wear begins. Let’s start with the roka or what I like to call the ‘hook & book’ ceremony. It’s when you’ve officially moved from life in the single lane to the carpool one!

The Roka, from being small, family events have become grander affairs since they officially kick-off the wedding festivities. Attire options range from a dressy salwar kameez or saree to an A-line lehenga, which is a great option. Put on some coordinating bangles but not too much jewelry because as a bride to be, you’re likely to given some on this special day.
